What is the Canada-Alberta Job Grant?
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is an employer-driven training program where employers use a third-party training provider like X5 Management to deliver formal training to new or existing employees. The grant provides businesses with the opportunity to provide training for their employees to enhance their skills to help drive optimal results for their employer. Using the Canada Alberta Job Grant to invest in training your employees is a smart and cost-effective way to bring out the very best in your team and take your business to the next level.
What is the training format?
We use a combination of half and full day on-site or virtual workshops. The programs are a minimum of 21 hours total and typically delivered over 3-6 months.

Enhancing Essential Skills:

From the rookie to the veteran sales professional, this training helps salespeople successfully create customer-centric interactions that improve results.
As an award-winning Authorized Partner of The Five Behaviors™ program, X5 Management works with teams to help them gain alignment in the five areas of The Five Behaviors™ model: Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results.
Focuses on helping leaders understand their own leadership styles and how their tendencies influence their effectiveness in specific leadership situations. Participants learn how their style influences how they manage time, make decisions, approach problems, and what they need to do to adapt to the styles of others to bring out the best in each and every employee in their charge.
5 Steps to Accessing the
The Canada-Alberta Job Grant (CAJG)
Schedule a complimentary Discovery Meeting with X5 Management so we can determine your training needs and how we can best support your business.
Select the X5 Management Training Program that best meets your needs. (X5 can tailor and customize any program for your business.)
Identify who/how many employees will participate in the training.
Complete and submit an online training grant application. (Refer to the CAJG Applicant Guide for full details and instructions. X5 Management can support you and guide you along the process.)
Pending your CAJG application approval, X5 Management will plan and schedule training dates that work best for your business. (Virtual or In-Person Training is available).
*Please note, you are not committed to training until you have official approval of your Canada-Alberta Job Grant and you are not required to you pay X5 Management until we commence with training set-up. (I.e. Preparing tailored training material, printing of material, issuing assessment reports to trainees, etc.)
The following is a sample calculation for the Canada-Alberta Job Grant application based on our Enhancing Essential Skills Training Program with 10 trainees:
Understand Your Everything DiSC® Workplace – $430.00 x 10 trainees = $4,300.00
Everything DiSC® Productive Conflict – $495.00 x 10 trainees = $4,950.00
Everything DiSC® Agile EQ – $550.00 x 10 trainees = $5,500.00
The Five Behaviors™ Personal Development – $550.00 x 10 trainees = $5,500.00
Remarkable Service – $430.00 x 10 trainees = $4,300.00
You pay X5 Management half of this cost at commencement of training and the balance over 1-2 additional payments for the training program.
After final payment to X5 and completion of the training program, you submit a training completion form to the Government of Alberta. Reimbursement usually occurs with 45 days of submission.
